2016 Queenstown Tour 1
It was a family affair on the Queenstown No.1 Tour with Alan Balderston (The Lakes G.C. Hcp 19-20) taking out the Mens Division and Robyn Edson (the Lakes G.C. Hcp 19-21) taking out the Ladies section.
Going into the final round Alan Balderston was 7 shots off the lead held by Wayne Aldridge (Pymble G.C. Hcp 26-30). Alan's fantastic 39 points around the challenging Jack's Point layout was enough to get up and tie Wayne who had a difficult day on the course. As both players totals were 138 points Alan won on a countback.
By taking out the Ladies Division, Robyn Edson made it two in a row after her wonderful victory on the United Arab Emirates tour in January. The ladies scores were low over the 5 days, but Robyn's consistency was enough to get up and win by a single shot from Annette Baggie (Killara G.C. Hcp 11-12)
