Karen Stasukatis and Phil Constable

Karen Stasukatis (Ryde-Parramatta G.C. Hcp 33-35) won the opening rounds with scores of 37, 31 and 36 on courses she had never seen before. There was no catching her as she ran away to a 13 point victory over her nearest rival Robyn Edson (The Lakes G.C. Hcp 19-21) who finished with a startling 42 points on the Jack Nicklaus Spring Coty Mountain Course.

Phil Constable (Northern G.C. Hcp 6-8) was looking to make amends after last year's narrow defeat at the hands of Peter Tanner. Unfortunately this year Peter was taken ill - preventing him from competing in 2 rounds. Despite making up 7 points in the last 3 rounds, both Ian Stuart (Concord G.C. Hcp 13-14) and Geoffrey Senior (Killara G.C. Hcp 14-15) were unable to catch the consistent Phil Constable who finished with solid scores in the last 2 rounds. It was enough to win by 2 points with Geoff Senior getting up to beat Ian Stuart on a countback for 2nd.
